Non-Contact Labyrinth Seals

The GMN Non-Contact Labyrinth Seals are the right alternative for customer designed labyrinth seals which are expensive and difficult to produce. Non-Contact Labyrinth Seals may be used as an alternative even to contact or rubber seals, especially at higher speeds. Fine or coarse granular contamination as well as splashing liquids can be sealed reliably.

GMN offers two different systems of non-contact labyrinth seals for wear free sealing of fast turning machine components.

Labyrinth Seals

The GMN Labyrinth Seals are made from steel and aluminum by a special and very sophisticated production process. Due to the very special production process we gain absolute identity and smooth use of the profiles of inner and outer ring, resulting in optimum sealing performance. The Labyrinth Seals are supplied as complete, not separable units of a steel inner ring and an aluminum outer ring with no contact after proper installation.

Gap Seals

The GMN Gap Seals with return drain are made from high quality and highly resistance plastic material. The chemical resistance covers lots of chemicals, bacteria and fungi. This fact is highly appreciated by the food industry and the consumer goods industry. The GMN Gap Seal is resistant against splashing water as well.
